There are 4 engines which have carried on from BS4 to

BS6 (Turbotronn, H series, VEDX5 and mPower).

There are 3 engines which are fresh in the market (ISBe 5.6, A series, OM 926)

Mahindra and BB with higher volume engines will ensure robust performance.

Tata, AL and Eicher have 5L category engines available

for higher mileage

6 cylinders provides assurance of performance and longer life.

4 Cylinder engines are new generation compact engines

which helps in achieving higher KMPL

Both BOSCH & DENSO are market leaders. However BOSCH

is more preferred in heavy duty engines

Tata, Eicher & Mahindra drivers are able to tune engine performance

with FE switch depending upon load and gradient for higher KMPL

This feature is very much required in BS6 as the driving parameters

have changed in BS6. Drivers will be able to achieve

higher KMPL if they follow the advise

Pure SCR is a globally proven mechanism for bigger engines

whereas EGR+SCR combination helps in reducing the AdBlue consumption

In BS6 all the manufactures have shifted to organic clutch plates.

BB, Eicher, Mahindra & AL on 6x4 are providing bigger clutch plate

for better power transmission & longer assembly life
