Value added services are either additional features availed with the core product itself or additional services attached to the core product which enhances the user’s experience of using the product. The objective of providing value added services is to ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction and even the creation of customer delight which may lead to customer loyalty. In today’s era, value added services have become an integral part of any product or service being offered by different industries & the commercial vehicle industry is not any exception. There was a time when the truck industry started elongating warranty & service interval in comparison to what they were offering earlier, since then the industry has really come a long way in establishing new benchmarks in their offerings to the customers.
There are plenty of value-added services available now a days which are directly associated with after-sales service of the vehicle. An annual maintenance contract (AMC) for example offers the assurance of pre-defined cost of maintenance. Any customer who purchases the AMC gets immunity against the escalating price of consumables, parts & labour cost.
